Rebecca Munro
Managing Director
A strategic leader and former journalist with more than 15 years’ experience as a communications specialist.
Rebecca has a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes for not for profit, government, community and corporate organisations with strong expertise in external media strategy and implementation. A strategic thinker with expertise in media, communications strategy, digital marketing and content creation.
In her earlier career, Rebecca has built a reputation as a dynamic storyteller and news breaker in newsrooms across Australia.
Working mostly as a television reporter, Rebecca has covered some of Perth’s most high-profile news stories, shaping complex information into material an audience can relate to.
The self-proclaimed newshound broke into the media industry in 2008 as a newsreader for radio station 92.9, on the popular Hamish and Andy Show.
Within two years, Rebecca moved into television, as GWN7’s regional Kalgoorlie reporter.
It wasn’t long before she was working as a senior journalist, presenter and producer at Network Ten in Perth, a job she held for more than six years, working on stories across Western Australia, interstate and overseas.
Since leaving the newsroom to join Perth agency ReGen Strategic in 2018, Rebecca has played a central role in delivering several important public advocacy campaigns.
As the Associate Director of Strategic Communications at Regen Rebecca implemented a communications strategy for Go Gentle Australia’s successful push to generate enough support for voluntary assisted dying to become legal in Western Australia; producing and managing a video-driven campaign to improve enrolment in STEM subjects for the WA Government; and the Christmas Island Stories campaign to ensure a just transition for the island’s community.
In addition, Rebecca has defended the interests of West Australian workers through the campaign to reform WA’s work safety laws to introduce industrial manslaughter and stronger penalties.
With her journalistic background and empathetic nature Rebecca has a talent for getting the best out of people to produce award winning videos.
Rebecca has also completed the esteemed Copland Leadership Program for emerging leaders from business, academia, community and government sectors, augmented existing leadership skills developed as a chief of staff at Network Ten.
With her broad range of skills and contacts, Rebecca is well placed to advise clients on strategy, messaging and digital advertising in her role as Managing Director at Glow Creative.
Gavin Murray
Creative Director
Gavin Murray is known across Australia and internationally for his eye for detail and ability to create fresh and edgy productions.
With more than 25 years’ experience working as a camera operator, producer, editor, animator and creative director: Gavin began his career in television and news promotion in the 1990’s and has since worked in every commercial station across Australia.
In 2003 Gavin moved to London as a camera operator and video editor with one of the world’s biggest production houses IMG Media.
When he returned to Australia, he worked as a senior in production for Network Ten before starting his own business with clients including Apple, UFC, Lendlease, SciTech and St Vincent de Paul Society.
Since then, he has worked in 46 different countries on documentaries and major broadcast events including the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Russia and Qatar as well as the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Gavin has an ability to think on his feet in challenging situations and can bring out the best in people with his friendly and flexible nature. His creative, innovative flare helps bring his clients ideas to life.
Sara Willis-Jones
Art Director
Sara Willis-Jones is an award-winning graphic designer responsible for some of Perth’s most visually recognised campaigns.
Sara’s creative flair and eye for finer detail allows her to assist clients to develop a strong visual identity or key message through well thought out branding and design.
Since joining Perth agency ReGen Strategic in 2018, Sara has worked with clients ranging from major corporates to government agencies to meet the visual communications of campaigns across online, print and video platforms.
In an industry where design quality can save lives, Sara worked with Rio Tinto to deliver an easily understood document providing guidelines for incident investigations on its mine sites.
As part of the Take2STEM campaign for the WA Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Industry, Sara incorporated outputs from focus groups with high school students to deliver a youthful, modern brand that appealed to the target demographic and could be deployed across video, print and online advertisements.
Prior to joining ReGen, Sara spent more than a decade in several of Perth’s leading design studios with a focus on branding, advertising, campaign management and social media solutions.
While graphic designer for Crown Resorts, Sara developed branding style guides for well-known restaurants Nobu and Bistro Guillaume, and she developed successful direct-marketing, print and digital campaigns.
From managing her own business to working under a number of high-profile design agencies, Sara’s portfolio of work includes an impressive list of clients such as Grand Cinemas, Perth Arena and Sinosteel, to name just a few.
