Rebecca Munro

Managing Director

A strategic leader and former journalist with more than 15 years’ experience as a communications specialist.

Rebecca has a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes for not for profit, government, community and corporate organisations with strong expertise in external media strategy and implementation. A strategic thinker with expertise in media, communications strategy, digital marketing and content creation.

In her earlier career, Rebecca has built a reputation as a dynamic storyteller and news breaker in newsrooms across Australia.

Working mostly as a television reporter, Rebecca has covered some of Perth’s most high-profile news stories, shaping complex information into material an audience can relate to.

The self-proclaimed newshound broke into the media industry in 2008 as a newsreader for radio station 92.9, on the popular Hamish and Andy Show.

Within two years, Rebecca moved into television, as GWN7’s regional Kalgoorlie reporter.

It wasn’t long before she was working as a senior journalist, presenter and producer at Network Ten in Perth, a job she held for more than six years, working on stories across Western Australia, interstate and overseas.

Since leaving the newsroom to join Perth agency ReGen Strategic in 2018, Rebecca has played a central role in delivering several important public advocacy campaigns.

As the Associate Director of Strategic Communications at Regen Rebecca implemented a communications strategy for Go Gentle Australia’s successful push to generate enough support for voluntary assisted dying to become legal in Western Australia; producing and managing a video-driven campaign to improve enrolment in STEM subjects for the WA Government; and the Christmas Island Stories campaign to ensure a just transition for the island’s community.

In addition, Rebecca has defended the interests of West Australian workers through the campaign to reform WA’s work safety laws to introduce industrial manslaughter and stronger penalties.

With her journalistic background and empathetic nature Rebecca has a talent for getting the best out of people to produce award winning videos.

Rebecca has also completed the esteemed Copland Leadership Program for emerging leaders from business, academia, community and government sectors, augmented existing leadership skills developed as a chief of staff at Network Ten.

With her broad range of skills and contacts, Rebecca is well placed to advise clients on strategy, messaging and digital advertising in her role as Managing Director at Glow Creative.

Sara’s creative flair and eye for finer detail allows her to assist clients to develop a strong visual identity or key message through well thought out branding and design.

Since joining Perth agency ReGen Strategic in 2018, Sara has worked with clients ranging from major corporates to government agencies to meet the visual communications of campaigns across online, print and video platforms.
